To Severomorsk there has arrived the newest ship of Naval Forces of France

Today – Severomorsk has arrived to the main base of Northern fleet the newest ship of Naval Forces of France - eskadrennyj torpedo boat URO «SHevale pol».
According to the press-service of Council of Federation, the program of business calling provides legal meetings of the commander by Northern fleet and heads BUT Severomorsk with the commander of the ship, visiting by the French military seamen of Severomorsk and Murmansk with sightseeing tours. Visitors will familiarise with expositions of museums of aircraft of Northern fleet and Krasnoznamyonnoj submarine Ê-21, will take part in sports meets on football and volleyball with a command eskadrennogo a torpedo boat "Admiral Ushakov" and will visit on its board. The French ship also will be opened for visiting.
In visit end there will pass the joint doctrine of a destroyer «SHevale pol» and one of the anti-submarine ships of Northern fleet

The project of destroyer URO «SHevale pol» ("Knight Paul") is developed by in common French and Italian experts. At construction of the case of the ship the high-strength steel in a combination to composite materials is used. The destroyer design is optimised for increase of protection against detection by the radar-tracking, electromagnetic and infra-red equipment. For the account of application of local booking and other measures survivability of the ship is considerably raised, conditions of ability to live of crew are improved, level of automation of all managerial processes is raised.
The destroyer is named in honour of French admiral Jean-field de Somyora. He was born in 1598 in Marseilles. Was a member of the Maltese award. In 39 years (1637) became the captain. It is known for numerous victories over Spaniards and Algerians in Mediterranean sea during the periods with 1638 on 1655 of and 1660 on 1665 of In one of battles in 1648, ordering one French ship, has accepted fight with five ships and five galleys of the Spanish fleet. In 1665 – there was the commander of a squadron in a zone La Manche. Has died on December, 20th, 1667 in Toulon.
